The Pastoral Care Team

At Midhurst Parish church we aim to be a caring, welcoming and friendly church and community presence. All of us have needs at some time in our lives and our small Pastoral Team can provide help and support especially:

• Offering a listening, non-judgemental ear at challenging times in life
• Visiting you at home, hospital or in residential care including sharing home communion with you if requested
• Keeping in touch if you are unable to get to church in the short or long term
• A phone call, card or church news from a member of the team can be a great encouragement at times of illness, loss or difficulty.

Bereavement is an especially difficult experience when it may be helpful to have a listening ear or meet for coffee with those in a similar situation. We also wish to celebrate with a card acknowledging special occasions such as a baptism or wedding and keeping in touch.

In addition to pastoral needs there are times when practical help is needed. We have close contact with our local Family Support Practitioner supporting families with young children, and Midhurst Food Bank as well as Midhurst Community Hub.
