At Midhurst Parish Church we strive to love God and to love our neighbour.
We are an Anglican church, in the Church of England and part of the Diocese of Chichester. In Midhurst Parish Church you will find Christians that come from all sorts of backgrounds worshiping together and all pleased to welcome you into the church. Most of our services at the moment are fairly formal. The clergy and assistants wear robes, there is a choir and we sing hymns. Our regular Sunday services focus on the reading and preaching of the God’s Word and the sharing of bread and wine. We believe that God feeds us through both of these elements of our services and that through them we are brought close to him.
At the heart of our church is a belief that our services inside the church should encourage, strengthen and empower us to serve the community outside the church. We have a real heart for sharing God’s love with the community around us through projects like the Foodbank and Friendship Teas, through youth and children’s work, through helping people to mark life’s important events and through pastoral care.
We are also a church that enjoys spending time together. Every year we have a social programme of events that bring us together with each other and with the wider community. We have an active and well attended Mothers’ Union, regular prayer breakfasts, housegroups and special events for our Friends members.
If you are moving into Midhurst or just thinking about coming to church then please come and visit us. We are regularly told that it is the warmth of the welcome that encouraged newer church members to keep coming back. We look forward to welcoming you.
