Midhurst Foodbank Centre (a satellite of Chichester District Foodbank) opened in September 2014, and has provided crisis support to more than 150 clients since then. We are grateful to Tesco and Budgens in Midhurst for supporting this service.
The Foodbank can provide 3 days’ supply of foodstuffs proportionate to the size of the family in need – whether a single person or larger family. The service is entirely confidential, and our trained volunteers try to be welcoming and supportive. We can also provide information and signposting to other support services.
Anyone needing this service should obtain a voucher which is then exchanged for food (and toiletries and pet food if required). Voucher holders include:
- The Vicars of Midhurst and Easebourne
- The Methodist and Roman Catholic churches
- Headteachers of Midhurst and Easebourne Primary Schools
- Social services
- Health visitors
- The pastoral care team at Midhurst Rother College
Midhurst Foodbank is located in St Ann’s Hall (green door) to the rear of the church, across the Market Square and up St. Ann’s Hill. The Foodbank is open at St Ann’s Hall on Friday afternoons from 3.00pm-5.00pm (with tea and cake available) to anyone in need of crisis support.
We now also have a mobile service whereby we can deliver directly (24/7) to anyone unable to come in person.
